What Time Does Amazon Stop Delivering?

If you’re like me and have a love affair with Amazon Prime, then you may have wondered about what time does Amazon stop delivering.

I shop on Amazon nearly every day and it has become my go-to for everything from books, to clothes, to furniture. If I need something, chances are it will be on Amazon.

But just because they deliver all the time doesn’t mean they will deliver all the time. So when do they stop? And how can you get around it?

Well here is everything you need to know about what time does Amazon stop delivering.

What Time Does Amazon Stop Delivering?

Amazon delivers packages all weekend long, including on Sundays.

The average Amazon ships packages between the hours of 8 AM and 8 PM. However, they are still able to deliver packages until 10 p.m., so you may get a package right up until close of business if your order is placed early enough in the day.

The time it takes for an Amazon delivery to arrive will vary based on where you live. The carrier that delivers your package from the warehouse where it was packaged to your residence will determine how quickly it reaches its destination, as well as how long it takes for an Amazon package to be delivered.

Carriers also differ in terms of how quickly they deliver packages. The type of item ordered also impacts when an order is delivered by Amazon.

Will the Package Come if I am Not Home?

If you’re not going to be home when your package arrives, don’t worry. The courier will make an attempt to get in touch with you to set up another attempt or leave a note with more details at your door. Additionally, a text message will be sent to you with a special URL to manage your shipment.

How to Change Delivery Times on Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime members can change their delivery times for their orders. This can be useful if you need to make sure your delivery arrives on a specific day, or if you’d like to rearrange the time of your delivery so it’s more convenient for you.

When you purchase an item from Amazon, you have the option to set a specific date and time for it to be delivered—or, if you’re not sure when you’ll be home, you can choose “No Exact Date/Time.” If you select this option, Amazon will automatically schedule your delivery for a day and time that works best for them.

However, if there’s a specific day and time that works better for YOU—or if there’s an event coming up where you’ll need the item sooner than later—then changing the delivery date is easy!

To change an order’s delivery speed:

  1. Go to Your Orders and locate your order.
  2. Click Change Shipping Speed.
  3. Click Select Another Date and Time.
  4. From the calendar select another date and time that works better for you (or leave it as is). If necessary
  5. Click Confirm

How to Add a New Home Address on Amazon

The easiest way to add a new address is by going to Prime Now, clicking on the menu icon (the 3 horizontal lines) and then choosing “Your Account”. From here, you’ll see an option called “Manage Your Prime Now Account”. Clicking this will take you to another page where you can update your shipping address.

You’ll then be able to select your current city as well as any other cities that may have been added in the past. You can also add a secondary location if desired, but it’s not necessary unless Amazon has already shipped at least one item there.

Does Amazon Deliver Till 10pm?

Between 6 am and 8 pm, Monday to Saturday, Amazon delivers parcels and groceries. However, your order can arrive as late as 10 PM.

If you are an Amazon Prime member and chose either same-day or two-day delivery for your package.

Here’s the bottom line: Amazon is available 24/7, but will stop delivering packages at different times on different days. After setting your mind at ease that your overnight delivery or Sunday delivery will arrive on time so long as you order within the cutoff, you can breath easy. Well, as long as there aren’t any unforeseen or extreme weather events that are out of their control.
