HTC Wildfire E Star Debuts with 6.5″ LCD and Unisoc Chipset

HTC has unveiled its latest entry-level smartphone, the Wildfire E Star, featuring a 6.5-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch that houses the 5MP fixed-focus front camera. The device comes equipped with the Unisoc SC9832E chipset, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded using the microSD card slot. On the rear, an 8MP primary camera works alongside a secondary QVGA (0.08MP) module.

The HTC Wildfire E Star packs a 3,000mAh battery, supporting 5W charging through its USB-C port. Notably, the smartphone runs on the Android 12 (Go edition) operating system. Additional features of the phone include a 3.5mm headphone jack and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for secure authentication.

Though currently listed on the HTC Africa website, the Wildfire E Star’s pricing and availability details have yet to be disclosed. Keep an eye out for further information on its release and anticipate an affordable and functional entry-level device from HTC.
