The HUAWEI Mate series is expanding its horizon with the introduction of its Pro Plus model. After the successful launch of Mate 60 and 60 Pro, the highly anticipated variant, HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro Plus, has finally stepped into the limelight.
Although the company remains tight-lipped about the exact chipset incorporated in this mobile marvel, sources suspect it’s equipped with the 7nm Kirin 9000s, a Made in China wonder, which might bring back the 5G functionality to HUAWEI devices. The powerhouse smartphone comes with memory options to be paired up to a massive 16GB of RAM and a gigantic 1TB of storage.

The Mate 60 Pro Plus touts a splendid 6.82-inch LTPO OLED display like the non-Plus version but takes a giant leap forward with a 2720 x 1260 pixel resolution. Additional features like 1Hz-120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling, 1,440Hz PWM dimming, and a 10-bit color presentation, all enhance the viewer’s visual experience.
For enduring resistance, the smartphone’s display is safeguarded by the 2nd-generation Kunlun Glass. Furthermore, it secures an IP68 rating, ensuring dust and water resistance of up to 20 feet.
Unparalleled Camera Experience
This HUAWEI device is nothing short of a camera powerhouse. The rear features a 48-megapixel main camera decked with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a variable aperture of f/1.4-f/4.0. A secondary 48-megapixel sensor with a periscope-style lens and a 40-megapixel shooter for ultra-wide snaps complete this trio.

In addition, it can facilitate satellite voice calls and messages through China’s Tiantong satellite. As the anticipation for 5G connectivity remains, the specifications don’t mention 4G or 5G support.
The price tag for the HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro Plus is still under wraps, possibly due to the uncertainty of the chipset used. More details will be revealed as we get closer to its shipping date, tentatively set for October 9. Those residing in China can already make a reservation with a deposit of CNY1,000 (~Php7,700).
